I’m still musing on bearing the image of God. . . .

This blog is the first step to publishing the book I have always dreamed about.

That dream of writing a book was hindered by the lie that I had nothing unique or interesting to share. The courage to start this blog and dream about publishing a book came from the School of Creativity at Bethel Church in Redding California.

The first day of the School, the lies that I had believed disintegrated. . . .

God created His beloved humans in His image and His likeness (Genesis 1:26). We bear the image of God. We belong to Him. We are His coin, to spend as He chooses. . . .

You are clean because of your decision for Christ!

I know that someone needs to hear that today. Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are a new creation. The old is gone; the new has come. We don’t have to live in guilt and shame any more. Praise Jesus!

With a heavy heart and glistening eyes, my girlfriend shared . . .

Identity is critical for living the victorious Christian life. Our identity in Christ defines who we are. Our identity in Christ empowers us to minister.

Jesus needed three things before He could minister to others (see Luke 3:21-22). And we need those same three things before we can minister: . . .

Imagine Heaven allowed me to do just that. Imagining heaven is what attracts me to these testimonies. I love to envision Jesus as a Being of Light; His light and love emanating and permeating everything! I soak in . . . .

Let’s get practical here. What does that look like? How does one “forgive?”

Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling. We make a decision to forgive and declare it OUT LOUD! Again, there is great power in the words that we speak.

That’s all well and good. But what do we do with those negative memories and emotions . . . .

I wrote this devotion 5 years ago. And I discovered it just when I needed hope in the waiting. Thank You, Lord! I’m sharing it with you in case you need some hope in the waiting. . . .

I would inwardly groan every time someone wanted to study the poem of the Proverbs 31 woman. I felt exhausted and overwhelmed at just the thought of trying to emulate that superwoman. That should have been my first clue that this proverb is a prophetic picture of the Bride of Christ. . . .

This mother-daughter team has written the book that has been on my heart for years. And they have done it beautifully! I can heartily recommend this book to every woman – young and old. Even husbands and fathers can find a blessing here, especially in the addendum written by the husbands of the authors.
