Today I am considering the three parables of Jesus from Luke 15. Jesus tells these parables after the religious leaders are indignant and complaining about Him associating with “notorious sinners.”

I was originally captured by how each of the parables represents a different person of the Triune God. . . .

My daughter is getting married this week, so marriage advice is on my mind. Although no one has asked for it yet, . . . what advice would I give for a long and happy marriage?

1- Every marriage is unique. .. .

The story of King David’s loving kindness to Mephibosheth ends with him still being lame in both his feet. Again, being lame in his feet talks about his walk with the Lord. Even after all of King David’s kindness, Mephibosheth is still not walking straight with the Lord. Yet, he was continually eating at the king’s table. . . .

And the king said, ‘Is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul, so I can show the kindness of God to him?’ And Ziba said to the king, ‘Jonathan has yet a son who is lame in his feet.’” 2Samuel 9:3

We used to have a world map pasted on our family room wall. I spent hours on the floor in front of it, praying through the 10/40 window. I humbled myself for my own nation. I cried out for the nations where the gospel is banned or restricted. I tenderly . . .

King David, who is revered at Israel’s greatest king, is a type of King Jesus. I’m looking at King David’s two entrances into Jerusalem as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ’s first and second comings.

King David inherited a defeated and divided kingdom . . .

My favorite chapter in scripture for the last few years has been Ephesians 1. It is a list of the spiritual blessings that God has lavished on us who are “in Christ.”

I love that word: lavish! It points to the unbelievable richness of the blessings . . .

I am Yahweh, Creator of all. I alone stretched out the canvas of the cosmos. . . . Isaiah 44:24 TPT

I’m still musing on bearing the image of God. . . .

This blog is the first step to publishing the book I have always dreamed about.

That dream of writing a book was hindered by the lie that I had nothing unique or interesting to share. The courage to start this blog and dream about publishing a book came from the School of Creativity at Bethel Church in Redding California.

The first day of the School, the lies that I had believed disintegrated. . . .

God created His beloved humans in His image and His likeness (Genesis 1:26). We bear the image of God. We belong to Him. We are His coin, to spend as He chooses. . . .

You are clean because of your decision for Christ!

I know that someone needs to hear that today. Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are a new creation. The old is gone; the new has come. We don’t have to live in guilt and shame any more. Praise Jesus!
