Panic laced her voice as she asked me to meet her. I didn’t know her well, and I was packing to leave town. But her breathless desperation pulled me from my home. She spilled her story with tears and . . .

As strange as it may seem, I asked our waitress if she was attending the local School of the Supernatural. I knew many students come to town from all over the world to attend that school. She replied that she was actually training to be a missionary.
