Fellowship of the Burning Hearts
As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9 NKJV
This December I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the demands on my time. How are you doing?
In case you are suffering the same emotional strain, I will share my remedy with you. I am taking time to contemplate the burning heart of God.
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are a fellowship of love. God is love (1 John 4:8). That fellowship of love is burning hot. The Holy Spirit is symbolized as fire in the tongues of fire that descended on His people in the upper room (Acts 2).
Jesus, born in a manger, brought an invitation to join the fellowship of the burning hearts. Father God’s eternal purpose includes providing a loving family for Himself and a passionate companion for His Son – an equally yoked bride.
This is our invitation to join the family of God where we will be enveloped in a unity of love. I look forward to an eternity of no more tears, only love and unity.
Yet, Father God has given us a here and now fulfillment of this future bliss (Ephesians 1:13-14). God the Spirit living inside of the redeemed is the greatest gift of intimacy. He could not get any closer to us than living in our inner being. We have already entered the fellowship of the burning hearts. As we partner with the Holy Spirit, we are drawn deeper into fellowship. This inspires me to cultivate that love.
Jesus loves us (the redeemed) with the same intensity that Father God loves His Firstborn Son. He lives in heaven continually interceding for us (Hebrews 7:25). Jesus is waiting and longing for His pure and spotless bride – that’s us!
My heart is stirred as I abide in His love. And I have forgotten my stress. The remedy for the stress in your life is to lean into the fellowship of the burning hearts.
